Bloom’s Story

Victoria.PNG

On May 24, 2017, my sister died by suicide. Victoria admired sunflowers, so these special flowers have become a symbol of remembrance for her.

After achieving my degree in Psychology in December 2020, I knew that I wanted to start a nonprofit mental health organization in Victoria’s memory.

The name “Bloom Mental Health” was inspired by Victoria’s love for sunflowers. Bloom’s official launch and website release was held on what would have been Victoria’s 28th birthday, September 18, 2021.

Forever In Our Hearts

  • From Zach E.

Victoria was my rock through some of my toughest moments. She felt emotions stronger than anyone I know, so I know anytime I look up to her today she is sharing my joys and sorrows.

  • From Katie J.

To know her was to love her. Victoria had a heart that could make anyone smile. Her outer beauty was matched internally. She is in every sunflower I see and I cherish every memory with her.

  • From Raulo C.

Victoria was such a special person! I’m blessed to have spent the time with her that I did! I honestly think about her just about every month if not more. I talk about her with anyone I know going through something if I feel like they need it and it always puts them in a good place!

  • From Mekayla F.

Victoria was the most special friend I’ve ever had. She changed my life by just being part of it. She made me believe there really is good in this world. I could tell her absolutely anything and she would just listen, never passing judgment. We laughed until we cried, cried until we laughed. I have yet to meet someone like Victoria. The sweetest, kindest, most loving soul I’ve ever known. My forever friend.

  • From Minette E.

I think of her so often. I still have notes and pictures around that remind me of how special and sweet she was! Always encouraging others when she was the one needing it. I miss her so much!
